Little Lights Programme

Before Programe Hours

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
— Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)

Strengthening A Child's Moral Foundation

Every child has a moral core, character traits which guide the choices they make in life. The kind of moral education they receive in childhood often comes to define their future attitudes, behaviour and decisions. Little Lights Programme aims to develop children’s character through Biblical values that will guide them into adulthood, so that they will have a strong moral foundation with which to make crucial decisions and navigate challenging situations.

Learning Character Virtues through Stories & Play
The Little Lights Programme is conducted during the before-programme hours and focuses on character development through stories, songs, and engaging activities. This programme incorporates Christian values, using Bible stories and related activities to teach key moral principles.

Each term, the programme centers around one of the core values of Genuine Love, Resounding Joy, Immense Courage, or Thankful Hearts. The activities are designed to help children understand and apply these values in their daily lives. Lessons include storytime, role-playing, and reflective discussions, encouraging children to explore and express these values in practical, age-appropriate ways.

The programme is conducted in both English and Chinese, with the English segment focusing on Bible stories and the Chinese segment using character-based stories to reinforce the same values.
